Enterprise Group Donates GHC100,000 And Up To GHC20m In Life Insurance Cover Towards The Fight Again
The Enterprise Group Limited (EGL) this morning made a donation of GHC100,000.00 and a life insurance cover of GHC20m to various institutions who are at the forefront of Ghana's fight against the corona virus (COVID-19) global pandemic.
GHC60,000.00 of the said amount went to Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research to aid in the purchasing of testing equipment, while GHC40,000.00 went to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to aid in the purchasing of testing equipment and consumables for the management of the COVID-19 Isolation Center there.
Front line medical staff of the Ghana Health Service, who are in direct contact with most of the concerned public were given life insurance cover of up to GHC20,000,000.00.
The Group Chief Finance Officer Mr Daniel Larbi-Tieku speaking at the ceremony said, “This is a novel virus that has its tentacles in every part of the world now. Its nature and rate of spread should be the concern of every human being. The world requires the support of all in fighting the virus and it is critical that we all contribute to the actions being taken”,
He also said that it will take a concerted effort from all and sundry to contain the spread of the COVID-19
Mr. Larbi-Tieku further stated that while Enterprise Group is doing all it can to go with the various international and national protocols put out to help halt the spread of the virus, and make their premises safe, clients are advised to make good use of the alternative digital Platforms made available to them.
